Activate, customize and use Windows equalizer
In order to adapt the sound output to your speakers or headphones, Windows 10 comes with an equalizer, which you can use to increase or decrease the playback of the individual frequencies.
However, you have to activate it first: right-click on the loudspeaker symbol in the system tray and select “Open Sound Settings”. A Windows settings window opens. Click on “Device properties -› Additional device properties ”and then switch to the“ Improvements ”tab in the“ Loudspeaker properties ”window. There you will find a list with several options, in which you put a tick in front of "Equalizer". To then display the equalizer, click on the button with the three dots next to the drop-down menu "Settings" in the same window.
Set the equalizer as required and then click on "Save". Assign a meaningful name and confirm with "OK". Your preset is now active immediately. Alternatively, you will find a number of predefined sound schemes from Microsoft in the “Settings” drop-down menu.
