Angela Asomah

Locals United (FEDERATION Youth)

We can only achieve a sustainable future if we decolonize our actions and thoughts. We must fight the exploitation of humans and the planet alike.

Angela Asomah supports and advises the "Locals United" project on topics such as intersectionality, resistance fighters, empowerment and a decolonizing perspective. Asomah previously studied “Management of Natural Resources” and has been involved in educational work on the subject of discrimination since April 2019.

At TEDxBonn, Angela Asomah and Lea Dehning talk about how climate justice can work when we look at the whole world.

Lea Dehning

Locals United (BUND Youth)

Lea Dehning has been heading the "Locals United" project since May 2019. She studied environmental science, is interested in intersectionality and is active in the climate justice movement.

Locals United is a project of BUND Jugend, which is part of the international youth network "Young Friends of the Earth Germany". The motto of Locals United / BUND Jugend is "Climate Justice = Social Justice".

The representatives of the association are of the opinion that in the course of the struggle for more climate justice, the connections between the climate crisis and social struggles must be made visible. People who are affected by (multiple) discrimination such as sexism, racism, queer hostility, and classism also suffer more from the consequences of climate change.

At TEDxBonn, Angela Asomah and Lea Dehning talk about how climate justice can work when we look at the whole world.

Daniel Breitfelder (actor and activist) - Rhein Ranger

For me, sustainability means waking up. And the return to the essentials of being. It's not just about us. Let us regain humility, frugality, respect, and joy.

Corona changed Daniel Breitfelder's life. While the theaters were closed, the artist DANIEL BREITFELDER, who used to work as an actor, decided to clean the banks of the Rhine on his twelve-kilometer jogging route in Bonn. He's been doing this every day since January. Til today.

This is how the RHEIN RANGER was born. A figure who, in addition to cleaning up the Rhine, primarily wants to enlighten, animate and touch. With arguments and positive energy. With performances, conversations and inspiration.

Daniel Breitfelder speaks at TEDx about the RHEIN RANGER and its adventures and about how you as an individual can help save our beautiful planet.
